LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Special Olympics Arkansas) – More than 400 supporters attended the annual Special Olympics Arkansas Charity Olive Hour event at Next Level Events on Oct. 24, which raised more than $57,000. The proceeds will be used to increase the number of athletes participating in Special Olympics Arkansas and support additional programming such as Healthy Athletes and Young Athletes.

“We are so grateful to the many volunteers and attendees that made this year’s Charity Olive Hour such a huge success,” said Terri Weir, executive director and chief executive officer for Special Olympics Arkansas. “This event, along with the support of many other individuals and businesses, allows Special Olympics Arkansas to be one of the only states in the nation to provide training, equipment and competition to more than 14,000 athletes free of charge.”

This year’s sponsors included Cardinal Health, Glazer’s, Legacy Termite and Pest Control and Colliers International. The event was emceed by Ashley King and Drew Mitchell from The Point 94.1 and Jeff Roylston with Roylston Auctioneers rallied the attendees in a live auction.
