Maumelle police arrest suspects in rash of vehicle break-ins

MAUMELLE, Ark. (September 29, 2014) - On Monday, Maumelle police arrested Dallas Kelloms and Gregory Solerto while conducting patrol activities in the Crystal Mountain area of Maumelle.

Maumelle Police experienced a rash of vehicle break-ins last week and had heightened their patrol efforts in the neighborhood areas of the city. While performing these extra patrols, a Maumelle officer spotted a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle seen in the area of the aforementioned break-ins. Upon investigating this, the vehicle was found to be unoccupied and in the driveway of a resident on Crystal Mountain. Officers made contact with the resident, who had no knowledge of the vehicle being there or to whom it belonged. The resident requested that the vehicle be towed off. Some minutes later, the patrol division got into a brief foot pursuit with two suspects and was able to take them into custody without incident.

Subsequent to the post arrest investigations/interviews, Dallas Kelloms, 22, of Jacksonville is being charged with Criminal Trespassing (B Misdemeanor 1 count), Fleeing (B Misdemeanor 1 count), Breaking of Entering (D Felony 14 counts), Theft of Property (D Felony 4 counts), and Theft of Property (A Misdemeanor 3 counts).

Gregory Solerto, 26, also of Jacksonville, is charged with Fleeing (B Misdemeanor 1 count), Breaking or Entering (D Felony 2 counts), Theft of Property (A Misdemeanor 1 count), and Criminal Trespassing (B Misdemeanor 1 count).
