High school teacher suspended following hit-and-run accident | Crime

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) – A teacher at Maumelle High School has been suspended.
According to Maumelle police, a teacher at the school is suspected in a high school parking lot hit-and-run; they were apparently driving while impaired.
The Pulaski County Special School District spokesperson Deb Roush has released the following statement regarding the reason behind the suspension:
"The Pulaski County Special School District has suspended a teacher at Maumelle High School after an incident at the school this morning. An investigation is pending. The district is limited legally in its response because this is a personnel matter."
The teacher has since been taken to the hospital for treatment, despite not sustaining injuries from the accident, according to MPD.
