N’cholé Féroce to show Fall/Winter collection at LRFW

Little Rock fashion designer, Sheila Scott, is the chief designer for fashion label N’cholé Féroce.  Scott will be debuting her Fall/Winter 2014 collection on Saturday, July 19th at Little Rock Fashion Week.  This year, the show will be held at the Statehouse Convention Center and doors will open at 6:00 P.M.

Scott has been toiling away in her studio for the past several months and has not revealed any new pieces to her fans.  Her following is anxiously awaiting the new Fall/Winter collection and Scott ensures there will be some suprises in store.

"This collection is a menagerie of dualities.  I call it  daring elegance, very glamorous 'here I am' looks.  You will see sweet and sexy in every piece.  No matter what your tastes, there is a little something for everyone," says Scott.

Give blood with the American Red Cross and help maintain the summer blood supply

Give blood with the American Red Cross and help maintain the summer blood supply

UNDATED (June 3, 2014) — The American Red Cross encourages eligible blood donors to make and keep donation appointments to maintain the summer blood supply and help prevent a shortage. Donors of all blood types are currently needed, especially those with type O negative, B negative and A negative.

While the need for blood remains constant during the summer, donations drop. Between June and August, on average, two fewer donors give blood at each Red Cross blood drive than what hospitals need. This seasonal decline could be overcome if just two additional donors – above what is expected – give blood at each Red Cross blood drive this summer.

Officials: Check written for CeeLo's Riverfest performance cancelled

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Riverfest organizers are reportedly refusing to pay CeeLo Green part of his payment for his performance over the weekend.

According to Chairman Cheddy Wigginton, Green arrived 35 minutes late and didn't fill his contracted time. He said the contract allotted Green 75 to 90 minutes, while his performance lasted only half of that.

Organizers said Green had received an up-front payment, believed to be about half of the contracted sum of more than $100,000.

Green's manager, Larry Mestel with Primary Wave Management, told THV11 Tuesday that they were given a check after his performance for the remaining balance. Officials said Wednesday afternoon, however, that the check has since been cancelled.
