Little Rock Compassion Center needs turkeys for Thanksgiving baskets

LITTLE ROCK, Ark (LRCC) -- The Little Rock Compassion Center is looking for help to put together 500 Thanksgiving baskets for the low-income families the organization serves.  And the biggest need is for frozen turkeys.

"We want to make sure we have the entire dinner in our baskets," said Pastor William Holloway, the Founder and Director of the Little Rock Compassion Center.  "We really need the community to help.  If you can bring a 14-20 pound frozen turkey to us, it will bless many families in the area."

"We also would be very grateful for the other elements of the traditional dinner as well," Holloway said.  "And, if families want to volunteer to help us put the baskets together, that would be a wonderful way to prepare for Thanksgiving."

Donations can be dropped off at the Compassion Center's office at 3618 W. Roosevelt, Little Rock, 72204.  Volunteers can call 501-296-9114 to schedule a time to help out.  Food baskets will be distributed Thanksgiving week.

The Little Rock Compassion Center is a nonprofit organization providing homeless, disadvantaged and chemically dependent people with food and clothing, as well as Biblical counseling, guidance and most importantly, the gift of HOPE.  The Little Rock Compassion Center is privately funded by caring individuals and businesses.
