PCSSD deploys EpiPen auto-injectors to all 36 schools

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (PCSSD) - The Pulaski County Special School District is proud to announce another first when it comes to the health and safety of its students and schools.

UCA television station available through U-verse

CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - A station previously only available in Conway will no spread to various parts of Arkansas. 

The University of Central Arkansas' Channel 6 television station is now available on U-verse, Channel 99.

“I'm extremely excited to be able to reach a new audience through Channel 6's original programming,” said Chris Churchill, director of Channel 6 Television. “Now, thanks to AT&T U-verse, UCA students, family and fans can experience our programming from anywhere in central Arkansas.”

Channel 6 will cover from Little-Rock to Pine Bluff, including Benton, Bryant, Cammack Village, Conway, Haskell, Jacksonville, Little Rock, Maumelle, Pulaski County, Shannon Hills, Sherwood and Searcy.

​To access Channel 6's programming through U-verse, browse to U-verse Channel 99, which will display a list of available Public Education Government (PEG) channels. Click on Conway and then UCA Television.

Maumelle man arrested for child indecency

MAUMELLE, Ark. (KTHV) - A Maumelle resident was arrested Wednesday for allegedly being involved with child pornography.

According to officials, Seth Ganahl, 42, will appear in court Friday afternoon facing charges of indecency involving a child.

Ganahl was also arrested regarding similar accusations last August. He is currently facing two violations of second degree sexual assault, which are Class B felonies, and two violations involving sexual indecency with a child, which are considered as Class D felonies.

 

Accident on I-430 bridge backing up traffic


MAUMELLE, Ark. (KTHV) – An accident on I-430 southbound has traffic snarled in Maumelle.

According to the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, southbound lanes have been delayed across the Arkansas River Bridge on I-430.

Little information is available about the accident at the moment, but traffic can be monitored on www.iDriveArkansas.com.

Body found near Pinnacle Mountain State Park


ROLAND, Ark. (KTHV) - Highway 300 near Roland was closed off by Arkansas State Police for a crime investigation after a man's body was found near Pinnacle Mountain State Park.

According to Arkansas State Police spokesperson Bill Sadler, the body of James Thomas Lovelady, 44, of Little Rock, was found shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday near the park by two women walking along Highway 300. Lovelady was apparently reported as a missing person with Little Rock Police Department Friday.

Investigators spent a large portion of the morning at the scene.

The cause of death has not been released; Lovelady's body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for autopsy.

Motorists who live near or have business in that area should plan to take alternate routes.
