LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (October 16, 2014) – Anyone in cancer treatment or who has completed treatment is invited to receive free legal assistance on important personal documents at an upcoming event.

The legal aid event is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Lawyers will assist cancer patients and survivors in preparing simple wills, powers of attorney and advance directives.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.(KTHV)- The Arkansas State Fair kicks off Friday and organizers say there will be plenty of security to ensure the safety of visitors.

Around half a million people are expected to pack the fairgrounds in Little Rock over its two-week run and Lt. Carl Minden with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says security is a top priority.

"We'll be out in ATVs, golf carts. We'll have the mounted patrol, our horses out."

Lt. Minden with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said his department along with Little Rock Police, State Police and 43 private security guards will be spread throughout the fair grounds and its perimeter.

Make plans to attend Fountain Fest, an outdoor party around the Carrie Remmel Dickinson fountain hosted by the AAC Contemporaries on October 16th, 2014 5:30-8:00pm at the Arkansas Arts Center.

Their On With The Show Tour 2015 will be at Verizon Arena March 11 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices are $52.50, $73.50, $106.50, $140, and $174.

It's the Haunted High School benefiting the Police Athletic League in North Little Rock.

The North Little Rock Police Athletic League is a non-profit organization that provides sports, and other services, to children in our community at no cost. The PAL Haunted House has been our primary fundraiser for several years.

The Haunted High School is at 13th and Main Streets in North Little Rock. Dates are every weekend in October from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Halloween night it starts at 7 p.m. and runs until the last person leaves.
