Attorney Kelly Halstead announces candidacy for state House

MAUMELLE, Ark. – Halstead announced her candidacy for the Arkansas House of Representatives, to represent the needs of Maumelle and North Little Rock.  Halstead is ready to take the values and priorities of District 39 to the Statehouse.  Halstead will make several stops at community events over the summer, and will listen to the concerns of the people in the district

“In the Arkansas House of Representatives, I will work in a bi-partisan manner to create good-paying jobs, develop our economy, and ensure a world-class education for every Arkansas child”.

Halstead has experience with Arkansas law through her work as an attorney and will bring her understanding and knowledge to the Arkansas legislature.

Arkansas State Senate Majority Leader Robert Thompson, whose sister lives in Maumelle with her family, states, “I can’t think of a more qualified and exciting candidate for State Representative”.

As a mother of two children who attend Crystal Hill Elementary, Halstead's campaign says she understands the need for keeping the progress of public schools on the right track in District 39.

“We need to create a safe education system that teaches and trains our children for the real world” says Halstead.

Halstead is a volunteer and legal counsel for Holy Sews, a ministry of Holy Souls. Halstead and her family attend the First United Methodist Church of Maumelle.
